Composite Cased Pair Of Belgian Military Flintlock Horse Pistols. Pistols circa 1790-1820, case circa late 19th century. Standard 9".65-67 cal. round steel barrels marked with Belgian proof mark "E L G" in an oval. Brass regulation furniture. Butt caps with built-in lanyard rings. Locks unmarked. Stocks solid with normal age scratches and dings from years of service. Pistols in good working order. Box is old, but not of the same period as the pistols. Measures 18.5" wide x 13.25" deep x 4" high. Its interior, lined in correct green baise, was modified from holding flatware to holding these pistols in the 20th century. Accessories include a bullet mold, powder flask, tow, cleaning patches, and a reproduction oil bottle.
