U.S. Civil War Surgeon's Leather Medical/Remedial Field Kit. Circa 1840-1860. 5.5" long x 1.75" wide x 3.25" high. Contains twelve glass vials still filled with medicines and remedies of the period, all corked and some labeled. The top of the kit is marked with the owner's name "W.E. Booth. MD. 4." Leather is still very supple and in good condition. A scarce item rarely found intact.
