ALS as Minister Plenipotentiary to Portugal, 1p with integral address leaf, 10" x 8", Lisbon, 1823 Oct. Fine. To U.S. Counsel Thomas Aspinwall in London, introducing David L. Child, who went to Portugal as Dearborn's private secretary, then left to fight "for the constitutional cause of Spain…until the French took possession of Cadez….he is an excellent scholar…." With an engraving of Dearborn.
