Lot 4976

Bank of Israel, Lot of 3 Silver Medals (similar to Eilat Coin), 1967, 1972 & 1980, 33mm. In 1967, Israel issued the Eilat 5 Lirot coin, with specifications of 34mm, 25 gm, 900 fine silver. These three silver medals were awarded by the Bank of Israel in the years 1967, 1972 and 1980; each is inscribed with a different name in Hebrew. They are slightly smaller than the coin -- 33mm., 21 gm, 925 fine silver. They appear to be struck from a die made from the original model. A fascinating trio that calls for further research. 2 of the 3 pieces are pictured. About Uncirculated, some toning.
Estimated Value $100 - 125.
