Liberation, Lot of 3 State Medals, 1958, Silver 61mm., Copper 61mm., Silver 35mm. 115 gm, 935 fine, 3,000 minted; 105 gm, 25,000 minted; and 30 gm, 930 fine, 4,795 minted. The copper version was the first State Medal issued by Israel; the other versions of the same design were minted later. Israel's independence is symbolized by a farmer planting a tree, a gleeful woman holding her child aloft and a 7-branched palm tree bearing fruit. The somber design on the reverse is a Roman coin issued after the conquest of Jerusalem in 70 CE. 2 of the 3 medals are pictured. Almost Uncirculated to Uncirculated.
