1995, 10 New Sheqalim Gold Coin, Port of Caesarea. 16.96 gm, 917 fine, 927 minted. Two thousand years ago, Herod built a magnificentport and called it "Caesarea" after the Emperor Augustus Caesar. In honor of the port's establishment, a bronze prutah coin was issued depicting a ship of the period. This is reproduced on this gold coin. Scarce, low mintage. NGC graded Proof 66 Ultra Cameo, light toning.
