1878-S Trade Dollar. PCGS graded MS-63. Subdued golden toning. One small nick in the field by the third star. A choice, lustrous Trade dollar whose highly concentrated satin luster agrees nicely with its solid MS63 grade. Don't mind the few light abrasions in the fields as typically seen for this large silver denomination since this has been taken into consideration by the grading service. Excellent eye-appeal. 1878-S represents the final commercial strike Trade dollar. After this, only Proofs were minted for sale to collectors before the design was finally abolished in 1887.
