Lot 1047
1794 S-64 R5- Missing Fraction Bar. VG-8. Glossy olive brown with lighter chocolate toning on the devices. No corrosion or verdigris, but there are a few minor contact marks. These include a horizontal nick on the throat, a dull vertical scratch hidden in the patina close before the portrait, and a scuff of faint horizontal hairline scratches at the fraction. The date is strong, the legends are complete except for the usual weakness inside the wreath, and the missing fraction bar feature is clear. MDS, Breen state III.
