Varvara Shavrova was born in Moscow in 1968, the daughter of an eminent Russian designer. She was educated at the English Special School and at the Polygraphic Institute in Moscow. Since 1989 she has lived and worked mostly in the East End of London. Since 1993 she has been featured in over fifty group and solo exhibitions.
