Mingus, Charles. L.P. signed by Mingus in blue ink on the brown background of the cover. Titled "Jazz Experiment / The Charlie Mingus Modernists," this album was released in 1957 by Jazztone Society. The last note on the back of the album states that Jazz Experiment was originally released in 1955 by Period Records with a different jacket and incomplete notes as Jazztone J-1226. This new release has complete notes which are a collaboration between Mingus and George T. Simon, and is numbered J1271. Inner sleeve is present; VG+.
