Laurel, Stan (1890-1965) English actor, writer, director; part of the comedy team, Laurel and Hardy. Autograph letter signed on a personal notecard, 1½ pages, 3½" x 6", Santa Monica, California, 1956 Oct. 19. A nice, friendly letter to Elmer Westover in Moosic, Pennsylvania, reminiscing about his vaudeville days at the Poli Theatre in Scranton, giving news of Oliver Hardy ("Mr. Hardy has left the hospital now…."), and adding, "No, I don't mind you calling me Stan - if the President doesn't object to being called IKE - why should I?…." The envelope is addressed in Laurel's hand and is sealed with a cute image of Laurel and Hardy. Fine.
Estimated Value $350 - 500.

Realized $216
