Saxon Flintlock Officer's Holster Pistol. C. 1770-1790. This pistol has a 9".72 calibre round iron barrel, with a silver inlayed ribbon at the breech and a bust portrait of a boy or young man. The lock is stamped with; "CROWN over FR" (Fredrick the Great). Bright and distinct brass furniture. Stock has a period repair just above the front of the lock and one just above the rear of the lock plate. All iron has been professionally museum cleaned bright. The stock has a very nice checkered wrist and has in overall beautiful finish This pistol is in beautiful condition with a great deal of eye appeal.
