Lot 550

Cased All Steel Boxlock Flint Pistol, c. 1750. Equipped with a 3".43 calibre round barrel, and an engraved steel center frame and stock. This pistol is most likely English. This unusual piece was cased approximately 50 years later (around 1800). The box measures; 10"X5.75" and retains the original faded red velvet interior but is not original to the gun. The accessories include: powder flask, powder measure, bullet mold, tow and a few lead balls. A nice composite marriage, and in good working order. The condition of the pistol is good with expected wear on the engraving.
Estimated Value $2,500 - 3,000.
