American Jews In World War II, The Story of 550,000 Fighters For Freedom. 1947 Scarce Two Volume Set. Compiled by the National Jewish Welfare Board and published by The Dial Press in 1947. Vol. I, 356 pages, consists of stirring battle accounts of Jews serving in all branches of service in all theatres of the war. The very scarce Vol. II of 590 pages is a roll of tens of thousands of Jewish servicemen, listed alphabetically by their state and city of origin, along with their rank and the decorations and medals they received, this information invaluable for war research purposes. Some age toning and external wear, internally excellent.
