Spanish American War Era 7th New York Artillery Shako. In black felt with a large brass shako plate with red felt numeral and thick white braided cord around the front, sides and rear. Includes original thick plume in red wool. With worn maker mark imprint on the leather liner of Ridabock & Company (?) of 36th St. & Bd'way, NYC. Gilt federal shields and artillery buttons at the sides with leather brim and trim. Some aging and drying of the interior leather liner resulting in damage to some fingers and very minor mothing of the black felt, otherwise in good display condition and scarce.
