Cabinet Photo of Masonic Brother, James M. Forsyth, Commander, U.S. Navy. Dated 1890. Commander Forsyth in elegant pose left, wearing dress uniform. Written on back: "Admitted a member from Lodge No. 154, Lima, Peru. Jas. M. Forsyth -- Commander -- US Navy -- Jan. 1st 1890 -- ". Plus a thank you note by him in which he bemoans that we wasn't stationed on a good fighting ship ("Oh, how I would have liked to have been with Dewey!").
Both items in very fine condition. Card: 6-1/2" x 4-1/4". Lot of 2 documents.
