(McKinley, William) - Portrait Campaign Ribbon. 2¼" x 1¾" photograph on a red ribbon with gilt lettering, c. 1896. At top: "Patriotism Protection Prosperity," and at bottom: "Wm. McKinley The Nations Choice." The ribbon was originally 5½" x 2¼" ribbon, but a ¾" x 1¼" piece is separated (but present) from the top, which has a vertical 1" tear between letters of the top two lines of text, not affecting the photo.
