Celtic Coinage. Lower Danube. Uncertain Tribe, c. 250-125 BC. AR Tetradrachm (13.07 g). Philip II, "Two Birds Type." Celticized laureate head of Zeus right. Reverse: Horseman riding left, holding high two birds. CCCBM I --; Lanz --; KMW 1102. Fully struck up on tight, very round flan. Area of thin ecrustation on reverse, otherwise quite lustrous and handsome. Nearly Extremely Fine.
