Great Britain. Halfcrown, ND. S.2868. Charles I, 1625-1649. York mint (1643-4), Mint mark, lion. Tall aritistic equestrian portrait of King in armour facing left, holding sword upright. EBOR for York, below. Reverse Crowned oval garnished shield, dividing crowned C R. Sprig of l=flowers in legend either side of AUSPICE. Bold strike, slightly off center. Toned. NGC graded AU-50.
