Great Britain. Sixpence, 1603. S.2647. James I, 1603-1625. First issue of 1603-4. First bust. Thistle mint mark on each side. An extraordinary example of this early coinage, seldom found so nice. Boldly struck on a broad flan with a sharply detailed portrait. Lovely medium old toning, showing luster beneath. NGC graded AU-58.
