1881 $1 Gold Indian. PCGS graded Proof 64 Deep Cameo. Lovely golden toning on both sides. Almost jaw-dropping quality for the grade due to the strong cameo contrast. Each side has a bright yellow-gold to orange-gold color that is surrounded by a wide margin of mirror surface. Struck with great precision on the frosty devices. Only 87 proofs struck. Pop 5; 5 finer; 1 in 65; 4 in 66. (PCGS # 97631) .
