1879-CC Morgan Dollar. . VAM-3, CAPPED CC. NGC graded Top 100 MS-61. Frosty and untoned. Normal light surface abrasions from coin contact within the bank bag. After a good start in 1878, the Carson City Mint seems to have slacked off in 1879, whereas the other branch mints continued to strike large numbers of silver dollars. 1879-CC is among the scarcest dates in all grades from this storied Western mint (PCGS # 7086) .
