1880 Trade Dollar. Brilliant Proof 60 Plus. Lovely dappled blue and sunset golden toning that could be suspect as to its originality, but is, onetheless, a very pleasing example of this Proof-only year with a mintage of 1,987. The strike as keen as a razor on all stars as well as the bale of hay, the sheaf of wheat, and all of the eagle's feathers. One of the more attractive and intricate coin designs to come out of the 19th century.
