1918-D Liberty Walking Half Dollar. PCGS graded MS-64. Mostly untoned. Dancing cartwheel luster careens off the satiny surfaces of this attractively original '18-D Walking Liberty half dollar. A blend of silvery shades can be seen on both sides. The strike is somewhat spongy at the centers as is often the case, though the design elements are sharper than many. It is possible to distinguish Liberty's hand, for instance, and many of the fine skirt lines along the leg and in the skirt on either side of center also show. The field has a since short scuff in the luster near T of LIBERTY. Close to Gem quality. It will not be until bidding is through that we will learn the current value collectors place on this handsome 1918-D, but expect that value to be strong in light of the coin's outstanding appearance. Pop 210; 29 finer; 26 in 65; 3 in 66. (PCGS # 6575) .
Estimated Value $5,000 - 5,500.
