Lot 2694

1916 Liberty Standing Quarter Dollar. AU-50. A lock-solid frosty AU50 with strong primary luster within and around the devices that spreads out nicely into the field on both sides; and naturally toned on both sides at the rim, possibly from years in an old Wayte Raymond-style coin album. More than adequately struck for the 1916 issue as well, perhaps not 100% so, since this issue rarely is due to the "soft" detail imparted to the coining die by the working hub, but certainly a coin that gets the nod where fullness of design is concerned. Some minor hairlines are noted.
Estimated Value $9,000 - 9,500.

Realized $12,650
