Macedonian Kingdom. Alexander III, the Great, AR Tetradrachm (17.21 g), Tarsos mint, c. 333/2-327 BC. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion's skin headdress. Reverse: Zeus enthroned left, holding eagle; A beneath throne. Price 2993. Well struck and sharp. Neatly styled devices with light russet-pinkish toning. Historical coin -- this lifetime issue being the earliest product of Alexander's administration from this mint. Bold Very Fine plus.
