Lot 2257

1835 N-14 R2 Head of 1836. NGC graded MS-64 Brown. Frosty bluish steel brown with faded mint color showing on the reverse. Satiny mint luster covers both sides and the eye appeal of this cent is excellent. The only defects are a weak strike on the hairbuns and the opposing leaves under MER, and a couple very faint hairline scratches under the wreath. Otherwise this cent is a gem. E-MDS with fine but clear doubling on the date. EAC grade MS63.
Estimated Value $750 - 1,250.

Realized $1,208
