Lot 2194

1817 N-8 R2 Finger Mouse Top. EF-45. Close to AU50 with a faint diagonal hairline scratch just left of the earlobe and another between stars 6 & 7. Glossy chocolate brown with flowline luster covering the fields and protected areas on both sides. M-LDS. A short "Finger Mouse" extends up to the left from the top of the head below the left point of star 8. The small patch of fine die roughness in the field under star 5 characteristic of the later die state is visible on this example, but it is not yet strong. There is fine doubling from die bounce on the forelock, tip of the nose, and on the lips, but there is not enough doubling to call this a "double profile." An attractive example of a popular die state.
Estimated Value $400 - 600.

Realized $575
