Lot 991

1926-D Buffalo Nickel. PCGS graded MS-66. Nicely toned on both sides with luster that switches back and forth between nickel brightness and lovely shades of pale blue. A nice bold strike is seen on both sides. Recall that on many (most?) 1926-D nickels, a sharp strike isn't available. Inspect it closely and see if you don't agree with our assessment. That being said, we expect to see a near-record price realized when the time comes for it to cross the auction block. Pop 23; 1 in 67 Among the finest known (PCGS # 3958) .
Estimated Value $9,500 - 10,500.
