1787 New Jersey. . Maris 43-d Rarity-1. VG-7. Variety with small head and outlined shield. Mostly glossy dark chocolate and olive brown. The surfaces are reasonably smooth and the only marks are some small planchet voids at the dentils on the reverse, as struck. Most of the details suggest a slightly higher grade, but the obverse strike is uneven leaving the bottom half weak, including the date, which is barely readable. Everything else is clear.
