Chile. 1 Escudos, 1779-DA (Santiago). Fr-18; KM-26. Mintage of 6,324. Charles III. Appears to be an overdate. Older standard bust right. Reverse: Crowned Hapsburg arms within chain of the Golden Fleece. Mintmark at lower left and assayer's initial at lower right separated by fleece. Value 1 -S at left and right of shield. Very choice with a sharp strike and wonderful mint luster. Difficult to locate this nice. NGC graded MS-62.
