Russia. Alexander II, 1855-81. 1870 Silver Medal, 50.8mm, signed "PM. " at the truncation of the bust, and "K.B.A.", i.e. copied by V. Alexeev on reverse. An Award Medal in AR from the series of Female Institutes Prize Medals For Distinction of Alexander II established about 1857. Obverse as Diakov-669.2 but with initials and reverse as D-669.1. An awarded specimen with date "1870", the last two digits being impressed. Minor obverse edge tap at 2:30 o'clock; toned Extremely Fine and scarce.
