Russia. Alexander I, 1801-25. 1809 AE Medal, 58.3mm, by Leberecht and Meisner. Commemorates the Monument to the Victory at Poltava on the 100th Anniversary of the event. Diakov-328.1, wherein that author lists the laureate bust being that of Alexander I, likely an oversight as it is almost assuredly that of Peter the Great in his later years. Lightly mottled surface toning, otherwise Choice Extremely Fine and scarce.
