Lot 33

1787 Connecticut Draped Bust Left. . Miller 33.12-Z.24 Rarity-6+. VG-10. Ten points sharper with several shallow pitmarks on both sides, and greenish verdigris peeps out of the pits. Most of the planchet shows microscopic roughness but significant areas are smooth as well. A faint diagonal hairline scratch on the neck is the only notable sign of contact. The 87 in the date is bold but the 17 is mostly missing due to die cracks, and the legends are complete. LDS. Slightly glossy dark chocolate brown with medium brown toning on the highpoints. Not perfect but not bad for this very rare die combination.
Estimated Value $100 - 200.
