Trajan, 98-117 AD. AE Sestertius, Rome mint, struck 101-102 AD. Laureate bust right, with drapery at left shoulder. Reverse: Pax (or Justitia) enthroned left, holding scepter, along with an olive branch in her extended hand. RIC32 var. (laureate only); C. 636 var. (laureate only); Banti 337. Bold, clean strike, perfectly centered on jumbo flan. With mottled red, brown, and black patina, expertly conserved. A big flashy coin, with considerable eye appeal. Superb Extremely Fine.
