Pontos. Amisos, c. 85-65 BC. AE 31 mm. (Time of Mithrdates the Great). Laureate head of Zeus right / Eagle standing left on thunderbolt, head right (BMC 22; SNG Cop. 132). Zeus's portrait fine and bold, with black-green patina. Scarce. Also a Sestertius of Domitian, with Jupiter enthroned reverse (as Sear II 2766 illustration). Good, strong portrait; reverse porous.
