1828 Capped Bust Half Dollar. Curl base, no knob 2. . O-101. NGC graded MS-63. A frosty white coin with some light marks on the obverse. Boldly struck and quite attractive. Desirable, too, with the curl base 2 variety having a pointed top 2 and large 8s. There is a reverse die lump in F of OF. Not rare (R-1) but almost always well struck and attractive in high grades (PCGS # 6148) .
