1834 Pennsylvania Bereavement Poem. Hand-drawn and hand-penned poem to Jesse and Margaret Kerns, who had lost Jesse, their 18-month-old son, 12" x 7½", 1834 Pen illustration shows the bereaved parents on either side of the tomb. Four stanzas. Light soiling, not affecting legibility. Original owners of this piece were from the Westchester area, just outside Philadelphia.
