1818 Capped Bust Quarter Dollar. Sharpness of AU-50 but cleaned and retoned. The fields and devices show an array of hairlines from a none-to-gentle cleaning, then the coin was retoned along the lower right side and a bit more evenly toned on the reverse, with most of the color applied near the periphery. Boldly struck with fully mountainous curls on Liberty, and proud feathers noted on the eagle. Scarce as a type coin, and all to typical of what is available for today's numismatist.
