1925-S $20 St. Gaudens. MS-60. Despite a sizable mintage, the 1925-S Saint has proven to be a fairly rare bird. Many must have been exported and melted into bars in European banks. Or else they are still over there, though that seems increasingly doubtful. This one has a dozen or so gashes in the left obverse field and on Liberty (not on her face or breast, thankfully). Its luster is good, and the buyer will not be displeased as long as he doesn't expect Choice out of BU.
