1859 Indian Head Cent. NGC graded Proof 66. A true Gem Proof copper-nickel Indian cent with delightful, even champagne gold color and almost perfect mirrors for this metal. Right in front of the Indian's lips is a tiny patch of die-porosity (where the die wasn't fully lapped), but otherwise this is stunning without qualification. And it's quite rare so fine. (Note: mislabeled by NGC as the J-226 pattern having the oak wreath with arrows on the bow, whereas this has the normal dies as on the J-208 1858 pattern).
