Goldberg Coins and Collectibles

Sale 4

Lot 1683

The Chapman Proof 1921 Morgan Dollar. PCGS graded Proof 63 Chapman. Glittering surfaces showing faint gold toning. Lots of little fritzies on Liberty's face, but man oh man are the mirrors nice on this one! If you collect Morgans in Proof, you should pay attention to this attractive specimen.
Named for the famous coin dealers of the era, the Chapman Bros. of Philadelphia, two rascals who fit snugly into the fine traditions of our "industry." But look at what they've left for all of us to enjoy--Proofs where none would exist if only officialdom and those guys in the proofing department of the Mint's Coining Room had had the final say.
