1883 Trade Dollar. Proof 55. The obverse is fully mirrored with only minor handling marks and hairlines, the reverse is dull from some bizarre cleaning effort which resulted in a satiny appearance in the fields. A proof only issue, any coin of this date is scarce and in demand. Only 979 struck in all, far too many of which were mishandled.
