1785 Nova Constellatio. Pointed rays. . Crosby 4-C Rarity-6-. VF-20 Plus. Attractive glossy medium brown and chocolate. Smooth, corrosion free surfaces with only a few small marks, including a pair of tiny pinpricks over the left top of the 5 in the date, a dull nick at the left top of the S in JUSTITIA, and a dull nick at the right top of the first T in CONSTELLATIO. The date is strong and the legends are clear, although a couple letters are flowing into the rim. A very nice example of this rare variety, the rarest of the short series if you don't include the extremely rare 1786. In the lower end of the condition census. Weight 109.8 grains.
