1783 Nova Constellatio. Pointed rays, small U.S. . Crosby 2-B Rarity-1. VF-30. Sharpness EF40 but lightly cleaned leaving coppery highpoints on both sides. Otherwise the toning is medium brown and chocolate. There are some faint hairlines from the cleaning on the lower half of the obverse and a small spot of imbedded planchet slag in the rays below the N in NOVA. Otherwise the surfaces are smooth and attractive. Nicely centered and well struck. Excellent detail, just needs to be retoned. Weight 112.8 grains.
