1783 Nova Constellatio. Pointed rays, large U.S. . Crosby 1-A Rarity-1. VF-30. Choice glossy medium brown and chocolate. Smooth, defect-free surfaces except for a few tiny, light marks around the A right of the date and a faint planchet lamination below NOV of NOVA. The date and legends are complete, although some letters of the legend are tight to the rim thanks to being struck slightly off center to K-3. Intermediate die state. Weight 141.8 grains.
