1776 Continental Currency. "CURRENCY". Pewter. . Newman 2-C Rarity-3. PCGS graded EF-40. Slightly glossy medium gray with frosty lighter gray in protected areas, especially on the reverse. There are small contact marks scattered over both sides, including a pair of dull pinpricks above the 6 in the date. Nicely centered and free of any rim bruises. The reverse is rotated 140 degrees CCW relative to a head-to-foot orientation. A nicely balanced, lightly circulated example of this famous early federal pattern. Housed in an old green-label PCGS holder.
