1817 Coronet Head Cent. . N-12, R3. VF-25. Sharpness EF40 with very fine porosity covering the upper third of the obverse and traces of shallow verdigris dusted into a couple areas of the reverse. Otherwise the surfaces are smooth and attractive. Glossy chocolate and steel brown with frosty lighter brown in protected areas. M-LDS. The obverse die cracks are strong and the area outside stars 1-2 is starting to sink into a retained cud.
