1817 Coronet Head Cent. . N-8, R2. AU-50 Mouse Top. Lustrous steel brown and chocolate. Attractive flowline luster covers the fields and protected areas on both sides. No defects, only very light wear on the highpoints. Late die state with a "mouse" break resting on top of the head below star 8, the so-called "finger mouse." A depression also shows in the field below star 5, as always on the late state of this variety. A very nice example of the "finger mouse" variety.
