1817 Coronet Head Cent. . N-3, R2. Good-4 Double Struck. Slightly sharper with patches of shallow greenish verdigris in protected areas of the reverse. A light rim bruise at star 12 is the only significant mark. Slightly glossy dark chocolate with steel brown highpoints. EDS. Double struck, but the offset between impressions is small, no more than a half millimeter. The doubling is obvious on both sides, but only with the aid of a glass. The date and legends are complete and clear.
